Amanda Micheli
Amanda Micheli

Born and raised in Boston, Amanda is an Oscar and Emmy-nominated director who now calls the Bay Area home. Her most recent documentary, HALFTIME, featured Jennifer Lopez and opened the 2022 Tribeca film festival before its world premiere on Netflix. Her first film, JUST FOR THE RIDE, about the legendary cowgirls who founded the first professional sport in America, garnered her a student Oscar and IDA Award. In 2005, her film DOUBLE DARE followed the struggles of the blue-collar stuntwomen who take the hits for Hollywood stars. Her 2018 film VEGAS BABY, which explored the wild west of America’s fertility industry, earned an Emmy nomination before its Netflix release. Amanda’s other credits include THIN, CAT DANCERS, and SLOMO. She is also a past visiting lecturer at Stanford, a celebrated cinematographer, and a proud former member of the US Women’s Rugby Team.

Serin Marshall

Serin Marshall is an Emmy Award-winning documentary producer based in Los Angeles. Most recently, she produced the Oscar-nominated LEAD ME HOME which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival before its release on Netflix. Other recent projects include the Netflix films ATHLETE A, for which she won an Emmy for Outstanding Investigative Documentary, HALFTIME, a documentary about global icon Jennifer Lopez which opened the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival, and the Emmy-winning A TRIP TO INFINITY about the search for the infinite. She also produced the Emmy-nominated VEGAS BABY (PBS), as well as VOICES RISING, a documentary series for Disney+ about Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson and the music of WAKANDA FOREVER. Earlier projects include several Liz Garbus films for HBO, including BOBBY FISCHER AGAINST THE WORLD (Sundance 2011), THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH AUNT DIANE, and SHOUTING FIRE: STORIES FROM THE EDGE OF FREE SPEECH (Sundance 2009). She is currently working on a documentary for PBS about art and science.
