About the Filmmakers
Jane M. Wagner is a documentary filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her debut feature documentary BREAK THE GAME had its world premiere at Tribeca, where it won a Special Jury Mention for Best New Documentary Director. BREAK THE GAME will have its US TV Broadcast on PBS’s 37th Season of POV. On the television side, Jane was a supervising producer on the National Geographic science series When Sharks Attack and Why, a producer on Hulu’s Mormon No More, a supervising producer on the long-running Travel Channel series Mysteries at the Museum, and an associate producer on the Emmy-award winning series Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. In 2023, Jane was featured in Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Film. Her work has been supported by the Sundance Institute, Film Independent, the IDA, the Logan Nonfiction Program, Catapult, Chicken and Egg Pictures, and DOCNYC.
Carrie Weprin is a creative film producer dedicated to the craft of inventive non-fiction storytelling. Carrie started her career producing music documentaries for A&E Television Network, comedy specials for MTV Networks, and commercials and events for Google, Facebook, and The New York Times. As an independent film producer, Carrie’s credits include award-winning films: Tough Love (Full Frame, 2014), The Growing Season (DocNYC, 2016), Blowin’ Up (Tribeca FF, 2018), Sounds of Summer (Camden IFF, 2020), This is Not Financial Advice (Tribeca FF, 2023), Break the Game (Tribeca FF, 2023), and Vitalik (2024). In 2020, she was awarded the Sundance Creative Producers Fellowship and the Impact Partners Producers Fellowship.
